was held on June 29th, 2007 to kick off Goshen Historic Tracks 97th year of Grand Circuit Racing at the worlds oldest harness racing track.
The late Amy Bull Crist will forever hold the title, “First Lady of Orange County”. She started the traditional luncheons which are held every year prior to our Grand Circuit Racing meet. The luncheon is by invitation only.
Historic Track extends a sincere thank you to Mrs. Ruth B. Ottaway and family, for their generous donations to help us fund the cost of the annual luncheon and supporting the track in memory of the late Mr. Ottaway Sr.
Attending the luncheon were many well known people. New York State Senator William J. Larkin, State Legislator Annie Rabbitt, Montgomery Mayor and County Legislator Steve Brescia, President of the Harness Racing Museum Elbridge T .Gerry Jr. and Museum Executive Director Gail Cunard were among many of our invited guests for this annual luncheon.
A long time friend of Amy Bull Crist and co-worker, Helen Dana also attended the luncheon along with donating a check for $11,835.00 from the Dana Distributors Michelob Golf Tournament to Goshen Historic Track.
Mr. John Manzi, 2007 National Harness Racing Hall of Fame inductee in the Communications Corner, enlightened our guests with his out going personality as Emcee for this prestigious gathering.
We had an overwhelming increase in attendance this year of 19%, and we are looking forward to having a bigger and better year in 2008!
A sincere thank you goes out to all our guests for attending our Annual Amy Bull Crist Luncheon and supporting Goshen Historic Track!
