June 13th: Flag/Veterans Day and Matinee Racing

On Flag Day, Sunday, June 13th 2010, Goshen Historic Track will honor men and women veterans who served our country. Gates open at 11 am. Racing begins at 1:00 p. m.

“Flag/Veterans Day” is in appreciation to our Armed Forces from those who have served, to those presently serving. The Air Force, Army, Marines, and Navy will have booths at the main entrance so visitors may have the opportunity to speak to members of our military.

Honor Guard will be apprised by:
American Legion Post 377
Catholic War Veterans Post 1923
Disabled American Veterans Chapter 212
VFW Post 1708

Bring your faded, tattered, torn, or worn flag to track for the distinguished retirement of the American Flag. The formal ceremony will be conducted after the races in the Winner’s Circle by the above Honor Guard.
